Water change Saturday. Surprise! Found this guy beside my driftwood arrangement. My largest of 21, had it for over 3 yrs now. Not sure what happened, sledded a lot of its slime.

Sorry to hear, Bro

Sorry for the loss.

I realize this isn't the same as losing a rare, expensive fish. But, it's funny how I am always drawn to slow growing fish. As hobbyists, we may worry that our fish will outgrow our tanks, funny thing ....lots of the time they simply don't follow our plan, but die for one reason or another.

Sorry man, rarity isn't such a big thing for everyone. It was a fish under your care and quite a good looking one otherwise. :(

Man I had the same thing happen to me a week ago. Did a water change and 3 of my oddballs I found dead that afternoon. Only thing I came up with was the water treatment the city put in must of been a lot and what I put in to treat water wasn't enough. The fish went from fat, healthy, and eating that morning to dead. I was so pissed. My other clowns were acting a little funny too that day. What about yours?

Thx everyone! I fed some Whole Foods brand market prawns the night before. This is my routine, as I remove my driftwood arrangement during a water change to check for leftover shrimp uneaten. Instead I find my largest clown loach dead. So I can't blame the water company as this happened before my water change. The rest of the inhabitants are doing just fine.
