Wels catfish (Silurus glanis)

My lfs has like 20 wells cats for sale only $30, also some albino's for same price. And when i say Wells i mean Glanis.
And there does not exist here in Iceland a tank that can hold even one of these, but sure. Some people have large ponds that could hold two or three.

I would like to know what people have to say about this and have a little chat.

By the way, the first thing i said to the manager (a friend of mine) when i saw this was "Is that legal?"

wow! $30 thats very cheap! Are you sure its SILURUS GLANIS and not another Silurus or perhaps a OMPOK or WALLAGO? They look very close alike.

You want to have a little chat eh...........what do you want to know? There are those on this site that would like to own a Wels if given the chance. They are hard to get in the US

First time i have seen them here, i just want people to write what they think about this, its just riddiculus to get wells cats to Iceland. Yes i am pretty sure that the manager is right, he always is.

If I had a very big pond/small lake, that would be my first fish to buy (probably only too). But unfortunally I believe that they are illegal here in Sweden since thay are natives and I guess they are endangered here too.
