Wels Catfish

How would one go about buying them in Nova Scotia, Canada. Would i have to order them online? Does anyone know how much they would cost?

I chatting with a buddy that works at the LFS (Toronto) and he mentioned that he could order them. Planning a pond? Possibly one that results in mysterious disappearance of neighbourhood cats and small dogs?

i have a very large pond that ducks unlimited made on my property a few years ago. I have always had an interest in large fish especially catfish and i have read a few times on the net about people in the USA and Europe who have these fish as pets. I definitely know they can get huge and live a really long time and i would definitely do a bit further research before i bought one. Right know i am just wondering if it is actually possible to buy/order them, where would one go about doing this?

is it a outside pond cause you would never see it. If its like a backyard ponds

I will ask him which supplier offers them. If you were able to find someone out east who uses the same company than you would be in business. I'm sure that I will see him in a week or two and will ask him. Willing to bet that there would be a minimum number that you would have to order. So possibly you might have to order a half dozen. I'm wondering if the fish would survive the winter. How deep is the pond? How thick does it freeze?
What a cool idea. I'm super jealous. I'm betting that it would eat the ducks eventually, which is also very cool.

Theres just no way someone could keep a fish like this safely. Its needs would just be too much for someone as far as tank size. The thinkness of the glass would be amazing.
