went back to cabelas :) have a look

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have to agree, I would have thought Cabelas would have had only natives, but regardless that is an amazing setup! Wow!

I recognized that first pick immediately and was flipping.
The 'little' RTC in the foreground is my buddies
that we turned in about three years ago.
His name is Floyd.

Howdy'all from Austin!

My dad takes a shopping trip once a year to the one in PA, so he can stock up on fishing/hunting stuff. He mentioned there were some fish in tanks there, but I had no idea it was on that scale. I guess I've got to tag along the next time. Very cool looking.

Pa's tanks are a nice set up, but they are all native. No SA fish there. Actually there is a huge collection of giant carp. Check out the pond in the middle of the store also. There are some huge trout in there, unfortunately some of them are not looking so healthy. They have misshaped jaws? Don't know what would cause it.

amazing.

many of them got a hook jaw. Its actaully not harmful and is sought after when fishing. I caught one with it. sweet. sadly the taxidermist for some stupid reason did not mount the jaw.

Totally jealous

Those tanks are nice. Fish are looking healthy and looks like they actually have room to swim. The Cabelas I've visited here in Reno and the one in Boise, ID are sub-standard. 8 or 9 foot tall tanks, but only like 3 feet front to back and overstocked badly. Doesn't work with some 4 foot fish inside. They always look ragged.

I've been to the one outside of Reno. It is really is substandard compared to other cabelas. It was new when I was there but is much smaller than the older ones. Doesn't even have a second floor.

VERY cool stock!
