Oh okay,what's ADF?

Oh yeah.I've had them before but I would have never guessed those initials.

Nice. I keep going back and forth on my big tank I just got (200g) on doing a native tank (Indiana so the same fish you have there) or getting a puffer.

After losing over $500 worth of fish, I say native. For the sole reason, and I know this sounds really bad, but if something goes wrong and the entire tank dies, it doesn't feel like you lost a lot of money because well... the fish were free.

Where did you find 2" carp?! Where I live it's impossible to find them less than 10".

This time of year (at least in my neck of the woods) is when the carp are spawning. Pretty much as soon as the water is consistently 60 degrees and above the mature specimens move into the shallows to breed. I look for them in the weed margins near structure. They tend to congregate around areas with coarse sand where the water is slack.

I should also mention, it is all but impossible to locate small juveniles during the day. In daylight they spend their time actively foraging in water 5-15' deep, and only move into the shallows after sunset to avoid predation.
