Wow, somebody is in a bad mood. :banhim:

Don't take it personally guys.

It seems like every time Poly posts here he has sand in his ....... He should do himself a favor and lower his blood pressure by keeping his focus elsewhere.

Like a *****y Batman and Robin, they patrol the native section to scold people who do make questionable judgement calls regarding native species. Never slow to dole out insults and be short with people, I can honestly say that no one will ever learn a thing from someone who is rude to them.

Who cares??? it is a bunch of Young of the year sunfish....What are you even bothering to collect them for??? Your not going to ID them to species obviously.

If your peeing you pants thinking this is a good find I'm worried about you....They are everywhere this time of year.

I guess if it is your first time you might get a premature orgasm or something but you will learn in time, Fall means thousands of little sunfish everywhere.

Oh cmon the kids having fun dont pee on his parade:thumbsdow

I found a bunch of the little fellas early in the summer, I swam up on them snorkelling!!

Good eye spotting them, and Those are bluegill, I've raised them up to earspots before losing them.

Quick Bluegill question: What does a purple sheen mean on adult bluegill?

I think they all get it, male and female.

Polypterus (Brooklamprey) probably didn't have a good childhood while growing up....

Oki, I have a pair, one's really dark without the sheen, and the other is really light with a bright purple sheen.

The ones I swam up on, were still mostly clear, tiny, and hard to see. I've also swam up on the males guarding their nests!!

So you dipnetted a bunch of game fish?

Nope, here in MA, they're baitfish.

Maybe next time when I get back I could net the parents ;) (but if they were eggs hitchhiked on a goose, then there wouldn't be any parents)

The water is very murky. I can't actually see what I am netting until the net is out of the water.
