If you wanted it enough you probably could keep it. I think its not a big deal to take a non native fish out of the wild and put it in a tank, since your helping out the wildlife, wildlife protects and the law. Thats my opinion, and the law says otherwise. I felt I had to say it, but sorry for derailing.

they get big and mean also.
i had 40 of those a while back.fed the aro and killed like 20 i think.
dont think he would have liked to be in a 5g bucket for 2 days.lol

came home and one of my cudas got beat up really bad and his body looks to be dead in spots,hard to explain.
he will be dead soon,i can tell.
no adult home and see what happens
his face and around his top fin was like rotting.
and his tail fin was just messed up.
he was perfect friday afternoon,got back home midnight saturday night.
think it was the other cuda or one of the payaras,or?
