Hate to get practical- what does all that humidity do to the wooden beams in his house? To avoid longterm damage probably should be running multiple dehumidifiers 24/7. Know of a guy in NY who has close to 3000 turtles (mainly aquatic) and I've heard he was starting to have problems due to humidity.

He designed this as an addition to his house. It was built to be a fish house. It was not existing. It was a little humid in there when I was there. Nothing to extreme though. I'm not sure of what the structure is made out of.

The fish house is about 30 minutes from Chicago.
