Went to buy some shrubs....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
When I used to buy feeders, they were to lazy to count and give me about double the amount.
Yep,happened at a lot of places. .I wouldn't say a word if the amount appeared to be more than what I paid for but they'd sure hear about it if the load looked light lol.
That guy was just eager to unload and be rid of those chicks.

I’ve had them give extra feeders, it is nice that they do that considering some always seem to die:yuck:

He was. Can’t blame him. Most people are already set for the year now. I’m guessing these guys were a special order that wasn’t picked up.

Those really are some funny and uncomfortable looking positions. I like the one that has it's legs sprawled out like a puppy.

Haha, yep. That and the one passed out in the food dish are hilarious!

These guys are so fun to watch.
They already look a tiny bit bigger so I went out and cleaned up a stock tank. I’ll wait a day or two yet before moving them, but I don’t want to have them feel crowded. I read they will start pecking each other out of boredom then.

Our next day with no rain I gotta get working on their coop.

These guys are growing so fast!

They have started hopping and flapping their wings.
When I first started doing water changes on tanks this morning I heard a noise behind me. I turned around to see this....

It was time to cover the stock tank with chicken wire. Haha

My daughter has taken a liking to the runt of the group. It cuddles with her and is surprisingly quiet when she holds it. 9E9AB77B-8F46-46A9-A598-5DDCFE8C7492.jpeg

lol very cute and yes growing fast.

These guys have been doing great. They outgrew the stock tank just about as fast as they outgrew the plastic tote. We moved them outside to their grain bin converted coop last weekend. So far so good! Now we just wait for them to fully feather out and grow up a bit so I can start releasing them. I hope it works out well and that the coop will be their safe roosting place each night.

Oh, and that light is no longer in there. I just set it up for the first few nights so they would be warm and settle in without too much stress. I’m working on plans for setting it up as a proper coop next year.
