What is your stock? You could probably bring it down to 82.

I'd be more worried about feeder fish, your fish should be fine. My fish have never gotten parasites from feeder shrimp. I feel relatively safe feeding those. You could always breed your own feeders as a fun little project. :D

Like an excited child I grabbed 10 ghost shrimp and put them into my tank. Should I have put them in a hospital tank first? Kinda nervous because I can only find 3 now and don't want my fish to have parisites from eating them. Never feed live before but something about them screamed tasty treat. My 55 houses assorted american cichlids

no matter how healthy u think the fish is... u can't avoid a parasite attack if the fish carries it... I would def recommend quarantine period.. or a quarantine tank to avoid diseasters..

it takes 4-6 weeks to qarentine for parasites way way to long for the average user ive never had a problem with ghost shrimp you would need a massive number of tanks to quarentine this guess for the proper time and still feed them just throw them in. be carful dosing salt if a peice of salt drops on a shrimp itll kill them
