About eight months ago I donated my Oxydoras niger to the local zoo. He was about 20" at the time and I wasn't able to set up a bigger tank (my kids were 23 months and one month old and parenthood was kicking my butt). I had been to try and see him a couple times before but was never able to find him - even though he is about 2' long and probably weighs 12 pounds. 
This time I got in touch with the keeper that I met and he was able to take me inside the exhibit to see my fish up close. It was incredible to be able to see the tank from behind the scenes.
Here are a few photos (none of them great) of the tank and my niger. The tail shot is from outside the tank, the head shot from inside. The tank (a flooded amazon biotope) is ~12,000G gross, ~8,000G net after aquascaping.
