i have heard nothing but bad things about somethingsphishy.com. i have seen some of the "flowerhorns" and some look like regular jack dempseys or texas. the best one i have seen from there looked like a trimac. they are very low quality and you could get better low quality fh from an lfs. if money is an issue, try your local members. there are alot of mfkers that are breeding fh and the prices for fry are good. if you want an instat mp, try aquabid, aquaticwonderland, or even mfk. there are members trying to get rid of fish all the time.

I agree somethingphishy lives up to its name LOL. They sell crap. If you are looking for high quality fish, aquaticwonderland is good, there are many good choices on aquabid, fhfrombeyond is good, but your best bet IMO is to catch a group buy on one of the FH forums direct from the breeders. FHcraze has the best GB's but I'm impartial LOL. There is ICL GB coming up, you should wait and check out what they ahve to offer. I guarentee you will not be disapointed.

Depends on the your level of interest and experience of FH hobyy. If you are a beginner, do your research in water maintenance and medication before spending $2K in a show quality FH. If you have been in the hobby for a while, then you may want to inves in a quality FH; best method to get a show quality FH is through personal network. This network of experiened FH hobbyists will improve your chances of getting a high quality FH. Since FH hobby is addictive and tank space is limited, my personal advice is get the best FH money can buy. You can't just stop with one, so save your money and buy the best upfront.
wow awesome jonz on monsters, i have to agree about somethingphishy.com bad fish they make up names for plain zz. not to mention i believe they had a lawsuit against them at one point. aquabid.com aquaticwonderland.com vendors like ilc(the greatest) lol.
