We're coming to America!

If you're gonna be in San Francisco I would definitely suggest hopping over to Monterey and checking out the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They have a beautiful setup. One of my wife and my favorite exhibits there are the jellyfish tanks. Absolutely amazing.

There's also a "mystery spot" in Santa Cruz which is just on the other side of the monterey bay. Worth a look. Google search "Santa Cruz Mystery Spot"and look at some of the pics, it'll trip you out.

also you guys may enjoy Yosemite National Park

The roads might still be closed in March. Worth calling and checking on tho. I live 1.5 hours from Yosemite. Definitely a beautiful place, especially in winter when everything is snowy.

US is better known for the national parks. Take a trip to Yellowstone,
Also you can fly into Denver and visit Boulder and the nearby Rocky Mountain National Park.

Nvm, in winter they are not really open.

But, if the winter is wet next year, you may still be able to ski in march. Lake Tahoe has a number of great places, starting with Northstar.

I was a big fan of the Monterray aquarium when I was younger, and Yosemite was always very impressive. And I'm sorry to say this, but Texas is going to be full of the stereotypical 'Mericans who give the rest of us a bad reputation

Here's what popped into my head when I originally saw your thread title:

Monterey Bay Aquarium is cool, but their setups are predominantly saltwater. Steinhart in the Cal Academy of Sciences definitely has more freshwater displays...just throwing that out there.

I was also 12 last time I was there and the only aquarium I ever had at that point was a 2 1/2G that had a few rainbow tetras in it, so the Monterrey aquarium blew me away at the time

lol, I was more thinking of the song (actually the Me First and the Gimme Gimmes version)...

I would love to visit Yellowstone and Yosamite, but I figured it would still be a bit cold. :(

Maybe a day or two in the snow would be a better option that hiking or mountain biking, I haven't snowboarded in about 8 years, sure it's not too hard to pick up again!

Remember this is a big country. If you want to see all these places in three or four weeks you are going to have to fly and rent cars locally. Texas is fine, how ever diverse it is. This is a beautiful country with a lot of great people. The people are as diverse as it comes but great voice accents go along way in meeting locals to help you out and finding those none tourist spots that are priceless. Good luck and have fun
