Hey guys. I am trying to make a water changer out of a 350 gph pump of my old wet dry. Do any of you know were i can get the black vinyl wet dry tubing in bulk 1/2" or 3/4" in a 50 foot single peice. And yes i have a python hate the damn thing. I cant find it any were have been looking around every were. And it cost to damn much at lfs. i paid 9 something for a 4 foot section for my wet dry. Thanks for your time as allways. The point of what i am trying to do. Is just take a 5 gallon bucket put it in my bath tub. put the pump in the bucket with the tubing attached. Get the water to the right temp. Put the bucket under the facet. And run a drop cord to the pump with a power strip buy the tank. So i can just flip the switch for water and shut of the switch when its full. With a hose clamp on the tank. Simple enough of a idea and design i just cant find the hosing in lenghts that long.

Good morning guys. Does any one know were i can find this?

I picked up 12 feet of 1" ID dishwasher hose for $1.50 a foot at True Value Hardware yesterday, which is 50 cents cheaper than anything I saw at the major chains and consistent with prices I've seen online, except without shipping.

Still kind of a lot if you want to do some long lengths, but not the worst expense in the world. I'm considering a fifty foot run of it for draining the one tank I won't be automating, just to make emptying it a breeze. Filling it'll still take forever, of course...

Why not use a 50' garden hose? I'm using a white, water potable one for all my water changes with no problem.

I diddnt realize any garden hose was fish tank safe for use. Plus garden hose takes up way more room to store. And is less bendable then the black hose i am looking for. And thanks to every one else who has replied

If that's just PEX, which I think it is, then yeah. It's not very bendy either though.

I wonder if those couplers it links would work with my PEX. Same dimensions but not the same manufacturer. They're 3 bucks though, I might as well order some and try them out.

Now you've got me worried about whether the dishwasher hose I bought is fish-safe. I only used it for draining, but it was in the tank.
