Some stuff to do in LA:
Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City (very surreal)
LA County Museum of Art (right next to La Brea Tar Pits!)
Museum of Contemporary Art
LA County Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Whale watching
Downtown Architecture Tour (walking)
Venice Beach boardwalk/Santa Monica Pier
Lots of beautiful places to go hiking-- several small waterfalls in diff't places
Beaches of course-- tide pools if the tide is right around cabrillo or laguna
have fun!

heres our plan so far
land in LA 25th September
spend 4 days in LA

Getty museum
may visit John
spend some time with my cousin
still may need me more info as vie done venice, santa monica, malice, la brea, roped drive plus all the main shopping places.
we then hire a car and drive up the 1/101 stopping in Monterey for 2 nights and maybe a santa barbara stop for a few hours or even a night

we are going to spend 7 days in San Francisco
San Fran
alcatraz
fishermans wharf
golden gate
will visit louise's cousin which is next to the winchester mansion so will take in that.
do you all think this is doable with a bit of chill time thrown in or will i still have plenty time to take in some other stuff.
you never know i may hook up with some MFK'rs for a beer or 20.

You MUST see the Academy of Science in SF, I would do that instead of Alcatraz. It's also so much better than Monterey!
