The only problem I have with most rubbermaid containers and such is the odd shapes, I couldn't get any sort of seperation.. but if I have the bucket filters draining into the rubbermaid with the pump.. it would make sure not to have any overflowing problems, I suppose. But wouldn't that just be pretty much the same thing?

and what's this about not being able to seal it.. jeez I'm such a noob..

what are you talking about?

ditch the buckets all together. it is a bad idea. not only will it be harder to set up, and much harder to clean, and take up entirely too much space, but its completely unnecessary. youre trying very hard to make things tougher than they need to be.

1x rubbermaid or steralite tub (sized to fit under your tank)

1x steralite 3-5 drawer bin

and thats it....

here is mine on my 180 it sits behind instead of under(easy maintenance for me)but it can fit under just a rubbermaid tube and three drawer container.
