wet dry filter --???

Actuall, I wasn't thinking about the 2000 GPH through a 12x12 area. you may want to double that. I don't know how many holes per inch and how big they in the pre fabbed board. If you don't use a drip plate I feel you could use the 12x12 area with some egg crate on top with some sponge that should be able to equal out the flow? I don't have any experience with that much flow. If you double the bio area, that will increase the contact time with the media as well with such a high flow rate.

But it also cuts my sump area for extra water due to power outage. I was going to use a 75gal and I wasnt going to have to make it work...but now I dont have the room for one. I dont know the hole size or spacing...but if I had to guess id say holes are maybe 1/4" and probably 1" apart. I know you got a formula for that lol

yep, they all get along and the next addition is 3 silver arowana, hopefully ill sell 2 before is time to move them to the 220g.
and then ill be adding a few cichlids

i think is 30" long--14" high and 14" wide
water is just bellow the bio balls, when i loose power it only fills up half way
hope is big enogh, what do you guys think

the pic with the cichlids is a 75g tank, im waiting for them to be big enough to move to the 220g

its a Catalina aquarium
bioforce external filter 918
flow rate is 1200 L/h
it doesnt come with filter media
it has 4 big baskets for media, what can i use for bio filtration(something i can make at home) i hate to go and spend $100 on biomax or ceramic cylinders at petco
any ideas on what i can make
any coments will be apreciated
