wet/dry

the only thing outa the water is the sponges and about 80% of the sponges are out of the water.
if i have it low enough it dosn't over flow.. but when i first set it up. my siter blew the power... and it overflowed onto the floor. only about 3 gallons though.

I fixed that though I put towels around it just incase :). I'll build a bigger filter once i see what acrylic scraps i have left. should be about 40 gallons. so i'll end up adding about 20 more gallons of sponges and lava rock etc..

If it overflowed it's either too small or the water level is too high.

It takes a lot of towels to soak up 3g of water. 3g doesn't sound like a lot, but it is when it's on the floor.

o i know, it went from the filter all the way to the right side of the room :). Lucky i have wooden floors soaked it right up with a mop.

the water level in the tank, and in the sump was almost at the top. I didn't exspect my dumb sister to blow the power 3 times in the same week.

I told her the first time, the wireing in her room is bad, dont plug anything into this plug.. shes like ok ( dits ) and whadaya know.. 20 mins later she blows the power...

2 days later same thing... I thought she was gone wend and i guess not cuz i come home and theres water in my room, checked the tanks, no leaks, looked at the sump... than the computer and i have no power.

I fixed it now though. the water level is just barley enough so the pump dosn't blow air.

and i know the sump is way to small, but it dosn't leak. so its good enough for now, untill i grab all my scraps together.

Keep the level as low as you can. You never know when you might lose power.

thanks for the wise words, I will do that. I have about 5" in length i could extend the sump, and about 12" i could extend the with. so i got alot of room to work with.

I'm gona go pick up my 55gallon water bin tomorrow also, so I'll hook that up so if it overflows it will drain into the 55gallon bin.
