a nice green terror or texas cichlid would work. Texas' are personable and tthey are gorgeous, especially the escondidos

You could always decide which you would want (suitable for a 55g) and buy it as an adult, sometimes it's hard to find depending on where you live, but if your looking for a fish that grows quickly because you want a big fish, just buy one full grown.

That takes away half the fun. I want something that will do most of its growth in 1-2 years. Also, adults are expensive and its difficult to find ones that have been kept under good care.TStone23;4558468; said:

Get a green terror. They look good,grow fast,and will hit the glass when someone is close to it. Great wet pet. Mine will bite me when I change his water.

Istlanum
Grammodes get way too shy as a Wet-Pet, Jacks are nice but don't carry the personality that an Izzy will. Istlanum is the closest thing to an Amp in a small package, very owner interactive. At least the ones I have had were.
