Wet pets

My oscar is my wet pet. I've also had a wet pet firemouth cichlid at my bedside before, I fed him every morning when I woke up before even getting off my bed. He absolutely loved it whenever I just looked at him, he would flare at me whenever I got close and then I'd put my face in his and he'd flare at me some more. I miss that fish. I've never seen another firemouth with so much personality.

Oscars most definitely make the very top of the list, I wouldn't be surprised if the phrase came about because of an Oscar lol I've been really shocked & pleased that my Flowerhorn acts just exactly like my Oscars! Very nice surprise. He's a begging little fool that has ate from my hand from day 1. All 14 of my male Bettas are incredibly personable. They'll flip their little bodies right up out of their tanks if I don't get the food in there fast enough, they'll eat from my fingers, too.

Oh really? Hmm, I had three males during college and they would all eat from my hands and one even let me pet him. They would all wag back and forth in their tanks when I entered the room, trying to get my attention. :) Females, in my experience, have been less personable but maybe it's because they were housed in groups.

Now don't get me wrong! A little wet-pet betta doesn't compare at all to a nice big Midas that's happy to see you, lol!

I tried to hand feed my double tail crowntail betta, took me two days. And got him to handfeed!
