I'm calling it now. The Wet Spot CB PBBs will look identical to the Kahimata bred ones.

Keep in mind the WIDE variation shown in the kahimata bred fish.

It still needs time to settle in Zilch but I can already tell I love the golden base color it has!

That was my FIRST thought when I saw the wet spot pics. Hybrids would've been obvious.

The subtle details and characteristics said pure pbb right away.

Will do! This is actually the first time I've used a tank with heavy vegetation as a QT... you can't see it in the pictures but there's a ton of floating hornwort and a full mat of dwarf water lettuce floating up top for cover.. I'll have to snap a pic

It seems plausible since now a days WC PBBs are abundant in Asia (especially South East Asia). Singapore recently imported their own large shipment of PBBs from Africa. A lot of the PBBs that came in were 20"-26". Wouldn't be too surprised if Indonesia started breeding them now.
