They also still have that one pec fin buettikofferi - he's only $20 for the fault but he's always hiding. I keep getting tempted because he's a misfit fish and has been there for months, but in my tank he'd probably always be hiding.

Teug may be small compared to del, Moke, and Sen. Is there a 5" teug there. I feel them to be delicate when small or before they domesticated by the owner :)
I'll go back and look at the largest of the group and think about it. The only tank I have for growout is 10 gallons and it'd eat all the shrimp in there. Which wouldn't be the end of the world, they're just cherry shrimp, but it's a small tank.

DMD123 DMD123 - what are your thoughts on adding a baby teug now?

And to both of you - how often does WS get them in?

Teugesli dont come around often, not even captive born. My thought is if you want it, you should go for it. You have time still to grow it out before you get a bigger tank.

So you're saying I should get a larger one than 3" if able? None were quite that big.... they were all 3-4".

I hope they get more Toyin polys too. For my future tank. ;)
I believe 4" teug will be fine with a 7" del. i have a 5" sen with a 2" del right now and i only feed every other day and the dont bother the small del.

Thanks for the input guys.

My Del is 9". But she didn't bother the Polli when I got her at 4 inches.

I'll go back and pay attention to overall size. I wasn't looking all that closely because I wasn't anticipating buying one.

Good food for thought.

If they are potentially dangerously small, do you think beefing one up in a 10 gallon for a month or so is stupid?

Would it be a bad idea to put it in a shrimp tank which would encourage it to eat live things?

I wasn't planning on going back over there today but we'll see. It'll either be today or Thursday. I wish I had looked more closely yesterday.

If I wait a year to get one, I will definitely have to grow it out for a while if they typically come in this small.
