Yeah, they are doing a number on those tuna. They already have hundreds of pounds of them in deep freeze and seem to keep packing more in.Maybe someone should start a TunaWatchers group?

Yeah, unfortunately due to the range of tunas and much smaller size of tuna fishing boats, it would be impossible to even remotely effectively track/interfere with tuna fishing.

Several countries claim Antarctic and the waters that surround the area that they claim, but no country recognizes each other’s claim. It’ll be like the USA claiming all the waters from San Francisco to Hawai’i all the way up to Alaska because we claim it, but no country would recognize it. Only ships that sail under the Australian flag must obey by it or if the government of countries recognizes it. Anything is just BS’ing. If the Japanese did violate their territorial waters… the Australian Navy/Coast Guard would have already intercepted them and confiscated their catch.

Don’t believe everything you see on TV. Editing is a very powerful tool for making you believe something else.

International v. Territorial waters is very complex and impossible to monitor/enforce. The IMO's (international maritime organization) guideline that is widely accepted is that a country can claim the waters 200 miles from the shoreline as their "exclusive economic zone" ie they own rights to all the fish swimming in that area.

Fine then , I'f you use the "international" waters thing as justification for the japs to do what they want, the sea shepherds should be able to do whatever they want as well

There are a few things that are illegal in international waters. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you're off the coast of Africa) piracy is illegal.
