i just picked up an atf and would like some info. would i be able to keep him with my payara? will they eat non live? etc..

They are awesome fish! I'm hoping to keep them with payara cause that would be a sick tank. I got mines eating hikari floating carnivore sticks. Just gotta try switching foods when they are young. The thing is not aggressive to the other fish in the tank. Its living with some bichirs, channa bleheri, some cats, and discus (of all things) and no problems.
sweet, i got one a few days ago and i put him with all my payara, hes pretty small, i was worried he would get eatin but hes still here. how fast are urs growin? im hoping he'll keep up so my armatus doesnt eat him. how big are urs?
Lets see, i got him about month half ago and has put on a little over an inch. Not TOO fast so if your payara grow faster then that then better start to worry!
sweet that sounds pretty fast so hopefully he'll keep up he looks like hes puttin on weight already. what kind of set up u have?
Right now hes in a 125 since he is still small. The tank is run by 2 magnum 350 and 2 large hydro sponges. The temp is like, 87F. Same like you though, i want to have him and some payara in a display tank im starting to set up in my room. Should be pretty sweet. To of my favorite fish! Are yours getting along so far?
so far just small abrasions here and there, nothing serious. its getting crowded though and i cant stop buying fish. one of my guys has 30 or more vamps coming in monday so lets keep our fingers crossed for some sweet ones
ATV=african tiger fish right if so i hope you have a huge tank those thing get like 36'' also are pretty aggressive
