whare can i get atf info?

yeah, atf. in about 7 months he'll have a 720 for a new home. ill have to bust down a few walls to get it in my basement but im gona make it happen. ive seen large atf's in a large community tank before so i hope it works for me

in the wild there a top preditor and even when large they travel in schools and can rip apart and devower almost anything

He looks almost like a feeder compared to the big sabretooths! Awesome setup though. Should be pretty cool once he puts on some size!

ive noticed that the only the bottom half of his tail has alot of bright red. is that normal? will he grow out of it?

Yeah, Thats normal. Mines only has red on the bottom of his tail too.

dont want to derail but how fast do these grow as i was offered one but dont have a big tank as yet its only 4" how long before it hits 10-12"

Not real sure. Mines grew about an 1" in the first month. Got him at about 4" too.

just do a search here or on the net. what type of payara is that in the pic? kinda enlongated

rhaphiodon vulpinus, they are about 12'' but dont do very well in an aquarium. one always runs into the glass and smashes his nose. hopefully theyll do better when i get my 720. they do sweet backflips when snagging fish. my atf rely gained weight since i got him but not any length yet.
