  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
seems like bacteria infection to me. I don't know about the worm, it's a little blurred. what have you tried? too messy, so I have some difficulty in understanding.

gram negative bacterial infection

Hi,

Okay again a bacterial infection !!
What a **** !!!!

So how should i treat that guy?
The last treatment was with baytril.
Can i use sera bactopur and esha 2000 for treating that guy?

greets,
Jan

Sera Baktopur Direct should work the esha 2000 i'd use at half dose tillyou see how it affects the fish
Baytril should work as well-Anne

I would use amocla (amoxicillin with clavulanic acid), it would be a little tough to get that for fish use, you may try nifurpirinol. I would deploy this treatment for 14 days without skipping any dose.

i am newcomer here..please give me some opinion..i have 2 polypterus senegalus and an albino sen..when i bought them they are in same size but after keeping them for 2 month, both sen are much bigger than the albino..is it normal?i am scared if the albino had a problem..one more question; is salt essential to be added in polypterus tank?i read it in some sites..

Welcome to the forum
Q. both sen are much bigger than the albino..is it normal?
A. Its not uncommon I think it has to do with genetics also albinos tend to stay slightly smaller than normal sene's

Q. is salt essential to be added in polypterus tank?i read it in some sites..
A. No its not essential and in fact should be used as a tonic-Anne
