Cheers guys I know he will heal no problem, I asked because he did this befor when he was a lot smaller but it took about 6 weeks to fully heal.
6 weeks for scale damage to heal? My FH has had scale damage on his kok before and it took a day to completely heal.

No its a little deeper than just scale damage not to deep but deep enough lol. I'll just keep his water good and all should be well, I've dropped his tank temp a touch to reduce any chance of fungal infections and what not.

I also don't know if it makes a difference in what type of kok they have mine obviously has a water kok but yours especially at the moment been small may have a solid kok/boney kok not sure of the exact name. Not sure if that will make a difference to healing times.

I think it’s actually called a hard kok. No I could no keep a straight face while typing this. But yea it probably makes a big difference. Im actually hoping to grow daisys kok but honestly size doesn’t matter the personality of the fish is more than enough

Nearing about 2.75” now and looking absolutely gorgeous. Think mine has a water kok because it’s started to slightly protrude on the sides. image.jpg
