Sorry that the first guy was wrong.

Its Vieja bifasciatus. Its a boy as well. You can see the pointy vent just in front of the anal fin.

hehe thats what i was thinkig about the vent,it is very pointy...cheers mate i was thinking it was male then oters said female<only kept cichlids since december timeish

For size, think frying pan. They can get 14" easily, and are thick and tall.
