it is possibly a texas (carpintis) but it is the only name that comes to mind when i see it...

I would say hybrid. Doesnt have the spangling of a Texas or Carpintis. Maybe get a better pic of it out in the open so that we can see the head and body shape a little better.

I too beleive them to be stress bars, app its a new cichlid into a oscar tank, if anyone has pics or show me a link to tex/con hybrid id be intrested, thanks
