Its a midas/devil hybrid most likely.. Not pure but its not anything weird like a conxfiremouth... Just a plain old petsmart Midas/devil... It just hasnt peeled yet, wait a month or so, its colours will change dramatically and patterns will dissapear and reappear and finally it will reach mature colouration.. Like I said, it just hasnt peeled yet.

im not sure if its a hybrid or what. if it is a hybrid it looks like possible firemouth/con but i just thought i would ask in here first. got him from pet smart for 3.50. it was in the tank with the midas and red devils tho so i was hoping it was a barred midas but idk maybe u guys could help me plz these are the best pics i could get so i hope they are good enough. if u need better pics let me kno asap while im over at my brothers so i could try to take some more. please help!!!

i bought a fish just like yours from my local petco about 6 months ago..he started peeling about a month ago...turned out he is a red?? midas??

keep it til it's big enough to eat your hand, like mine is now.
