Whatever it is, it's a good looking fish.
I had an 18 inch ST and I can tell you I tried some smaller cichlids and it would eat most of them up to at least 6 inches. He gave the a dempsey reprieve for some reason, though. He also did not go after the clown loaches which it could have easily taken out.

....i agree with the comments saying that this guy it's a bit skinny.
