Mo could you explain why you believe the fish is a freddie and not a Loiselli. I've done some searches but still have not really found a sure fire way to tell them apart at a juvi size.
 
i agree, the colors and patterns are much like a friedrichsthalli, the body shape fits as well as the patterns on the gill plates, the brown striping/blotching on the head and back too. if its not a freddy its a freddy hybrid. there is no way to be sure

I have a dozen Freddies from two different collection locales and a variety of sizes. The spot pattern and the body shape. I've been wrong before. Juvenile fish can be a crap shoot...but I am fairly confident.

I have never seen a Freddie here in Ireland :D Are they common in America?
