what am i??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am guessing that stones Aquarium got in more then one ? I can clearly see differences between Xanders pic and the pic the other guy posted but with that said in the post I linked the guys said he had just released it into his tank and could of lost some color by being stressed or whatever.... I am probably wrong but what are the odds of stones having at least 2 rare Platinum Rtc crossed fish?
I dunno we'll just have to wait and see.

It looks familiar to me, but it's not a RTC. Kind of looks like a Golden Leiarius species or hybrid of the sort.

:D, Woot thats a first !! hahaha.
I can't wait to see what its going to look like when its mature, I really think it will be awesome :D... I can only Imagine what kind of money they wanted for it.

lovely RTCxPangasius
the lats time we saw this hybrid they were still very unstable, out of three that were got by some MFKers, all were dead within a few weeks

Great Shots Alex, how big were those beauties

I just came across this other thread it is from stone so I think it might be the same one

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=399062

in these pics you can clearly see the RTC in it

I would have to disagree. Even if the photo in the thread ^ may be stressed from being just introduced into a new tank, I seriously doubt it would darken up as much as it has in this photo. If the photo was focused better, and not so fuzzy, and greater detail on the clarity of the scales, I feel a plausible decission could be made between Xander's posted photo and this photo above. It's truly hard to make a plausible discernment when photo's are never focused.

Thats not the same fish at all, as in this thread.
I agree. Even though one maybe stressed and the other is not, there's something about them that just doesn't fit right in being the similar type of hybrid platinum RTC.

Not to begin an arguement here, Cakilla, but I would be interested in knowing what differences you clearly see between the two fish in the photo's of Xander's posted photo and mathewlimkaijie's photo. I will admit, I am not, nor claim to be an expert in Icthyology identification or classification talents, but the obvious is pretty obvious. I would just like to hear what your views are on the differences from your standpoint of observations. Sharing knowledge of what other's know helps everyone. Especially me. I would like to know what differences you see. Or from other members which would care to chime in and share their opinions of observation. Thanks.
