100% texas...lol. I said that alot today

Hell no. I just came from seeing a ton of female Texas raising fry and they look nothing like that. Texas cichlids/Carpintis only turn dark on the lower half of their body, not the entire body.

LOL I'm very sure this is a Carpintis X Flowerhorn.

No problem, thats great to hear. You should post some pics for us.

i think water is on the money ,it has alot of texas though but when it was small it looked like what pet stores around here sell as red texas but really are mixed with flowerhorn. Here one I had the flowers would come and go never mated this fish. Also was a male

Well one thing about it she mated with my red dragon so the fry will be flowerhorn plus ? I say carpintis/flowerhorn.You could say texas but her pearl are large and worm like at the face so i would go with green texas side .Never seen that much black so that leads me to believe there is some flowerhorn in there,a poular mix these days. What ever she is that black makes her a little different and interesting to me.This was in bad shape when I found her and paid seven dollars for her rights. When i first saw her i thought what the local store sell as red texas cichlid ,that to me me is mix of fh and texas in this case green one,.
