Here's a female grammodes to compare.
And the mouth is not right to be Parachromis.
I edited your pick a little to make things more obvious.

below is Talamancaheros (formerly Tomocichla) seiboldi to compare, similar mouth shape, or it could be simply a hybrid, the way things are these days

I was thinking of these but couldn't remember the dam name, you made me aware of these badboys... Want!-)

Kept thinking tuba tbh, shape wise.

I can find some example photos of grammodes that look more like the fish in question but I do see what you saying about the mouth. I also noticed looking at some grammodes that there seems to be a pattern of lines on the face and cheeks that I do not see on the question fish.
So I have to say your right it doesn't look like it's a grammodes after all.
Hey I can admit when I'm wrong. After being married for all these years I'm kinda used to it! Lol

It definitely looks like a vieja hybrid of some sort. Hopefully it colors up nicely with tlc and good water conditions

I think Duanes is the closest guess, face does look like a tomocichla ( I think talamanheros or something now?)
Definitely not a grammodes, possibly a vieja hybrid... my vote would be hybrid of some sort
