Had a decent day of work, and today was going to use my associates 30% christmas discount at petsmart, all was well, got $277 worth of stuff for about $194. Well, after that I had to go to my girlfriend's dad's christmas party - so i was going to put the 3 buenos aires tetras I had got in a bucket with some warm water before we left. Well, my girlfriend was rushing me cuz she didn't wanna be late and said she'd put them in the bucket for me. I told her to make sure to add dechlorinator to the bucket. Well, came home, 3 highly chlorinated dead tetras. BOOOO. And to top that off, I had got an AC70 to add to my 75 gallon, and the thing i didnt even think of? It doesn't fit on the lip of the tank. SWEET. I had also got an AC50 for my 45 gallon so i was thinking okay, I'll put the 70 on my 45 and then take the 50 back, not a huge deal. Well, there's about a quarter inch too little room between the tank and the wall. So basically what was a great day ended up with the 3 fish I got dead and a filter I cannot return. WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
or put the filter in the oven at 200c for 2 minutes then bend the lip out of the way?
