What Aquarium Products do you think would greatly help the Fish Hobby?

A Filter/Generator. It's basically a filter that uses electricity like all normal filters. But...as the water flows out of it, it turns a wheel that makes more electricity to run all your other filters and heaters on.

Perpetual motion filtration; I like it. Kind of like a Slinky on an escalator, it never stops.

- Fast, accurate, and affordable test kits or digital meters. I guess accurate and affordable don't go hand-in-hand!

- Heaters that actually work

- More modern-looking fish tanks and stands, sort of like what Fluval has been doing

How about self cleaning canister filters.I guess they would be pretty pricey though.

They have these already, they're used mainly for ponds. Look for a filter with a "backwash" option.

Those are some pretty good ideas, how about a canister filters that have battery packs that turn on in the event of a power outage. I know some have self priming but if the power is out for a long period I think this would be useful.

Oh, here's another thing that would be helpful:

A full aquarium meter that displays temperature, PH, and water hardness all in one screen.

^ I think they have that, mainly used in marine aquarium, where all the data is sent to your iphone to give you the current water parameters anytime you want.
