what are good food brands?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes Nes, we read all that, what's your point? That they have spin doctors working for them? Do some research, real research, by real experts in the field of fish nutrition, then come back & tell me if what they say is based on real facts, and real data, or if it's just their company spin on how & why corn flakes are good for carnivorous fish. Did you read the letter in the link that I provided, by their top researcher in Japan?

Should we believe that as well?

Make sure to read post #169 as well.

If this the type of "science" that they keep referring to?

The fish food industry is not obligated to place the ingredients in the order in which they are greatest first. Also their method of determining such is mimimal at best.

While I agree with the latter part of your comment, the former portion is not quite that simple. Every state, and country, has their own regulatory bodies that decide what is allowed on a label, and what isn't. But I agree, the reality is very few actually check ingredient listings or percentages that closely.

Ive Had got results from Ocean Nutrition,,, good ingredients (discus flakes) = Euphasia Pacifica Plankton,Salmon filets,Squid, wheat, etc

I have had very good results, both in SW as in FW with Dainichi.

Strange nobody mentions this brand ( but then again I am in Europe, so perhaps you guys do not use it stateside )

Agreed on the Hikari, use it alot. I've always wanted to try NLS, but it's not that cheap at all, but I know it's good stuff though.

I also use this one alot....Omega One! Also kensfish.com
