I keep seeing that people suggest to use good quality fish flakes.. What brands are good and what brands should i avoid?

It's like high quality dog food for example. You can feed your dog Walmart brand Ole' Roy or go with something like Eukanuba or Hill's Science Diet. Which would make a healthier dog?

Florida Guppies Plus sells some flakes such as earthworm, beefheart, and also de-worming flakes, worth a shot if you want some additional flake formulas outside of the "staple"

Omega One and NLS are both great.

You can check out their sites and learn a little about the companies behind the food if you have the time.

I like the direction these two manufacturers are taking in providing high quality balanced foods from natural ingredients. This stuff is hard to find tho...

I buy almost nothing from my LFS anymore. I order in bulk online and it's way cheaper even with the low cost of shipping...plus you can get pretty much anything.
