no where :P
i recently relocated my channa to a bigger tank he seems to be doing fine for the moment, i acclimated him correctly and tried to get the water the ph, nitrates etc.. the same as i possibly could, but i never rly have much luck with switching fish to other tanks so i want to know what i should be looking for signs of being uhealthy, and solutions just incase he does fall ill

i'd say closed fins and not eating are the biggest indicators of an unhealthy snakehead and it's a good indicator for fish in general. Snakeheads are for the most part very hardy and you have to mess up big time to make your SH unhealthy. When SH do become unhealthy, in my experience, they show obvious signs of being sick that you should recognize right away

What is the color of the fish and age?
Many juvi's tend to have darker colored stripes when unhappy or stressed. But when relaxed have clean white looking undersides and olive green head and back area.
It is normal for them to sit the bottom most of the day.
But only you know your pet's behavioral patterns and that is what you need to assess.
Let me know

well you see the tap water from where i am has alot of harmful chemicals added and is twice as worse for fish then most places, any even after a month of cycling the tank and adding water conditioners i guess wasnt enough, he seems to be laying on the floor with closed fins so in an effort to save him i am switching him back into the smaller tank which is nothing but purified water, which is what im probly going to have to do for my larger tank, im not sure if the switch will shock him and would like some advice as soon as possible because im going to be making the switch today because i want to try to give him a chance to recover before the issue becomes worse

althogh he is still eating but after that he just sits at the bottom with closed fins which he has never done before, and he has constant stress stripes which before he didnt

he seems to be alot more active now with less stress lines, maybe i should wait before acting? its just that this is his first tank change and this fish has alot of sentimental value to me and im worried and hope that everything goes ok, advice on what i should do?

well if any one cares i did a 20% water change and replaced the water with purified water and added the correct chemicals etc, he apears to be doing a little better im going to wait a day and see how he does

One true sign of a sickly or unhealthy snakehead... when they completely stop swimming, floating upside-down and they have no color left in there eyes.
