what are some fish that can survive extremely cold water.

To get much colder than 32F and not freeze, water has to be moving a lot...
A lot of NA native species, especially those stretch into the far north can take very cold water. Once you get down below 25, I'd say none as there is a very good chance they would be frozen solid at that point ;)

i would guess types of sculpin can handle it

why the hell is ur water 25 deg F.. is this an outdoor pond were talkin about?.. cuz if its a fish tank in ur living room, ur crazy

wow, is that for a pond? sturgeon, i've heard salmon as well

it is actually my pool. i keep my fish in my old pool that i dont use anymore. and it gets that cold over the winter.

Not so much on the salmon. Water is cold in Alaska, but not that cold. We call our 25 d. water ice. If your looking to stock your pond with something that will live through the winter in NY, look around at what they have in the natural ponds around there and mimic that.
