What are some good decorations for some big cichlids

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like large logs and branches, some of which are 5 to almost 6ft long in some tanks, and they provide places to hide pots, and PVC which I use, but find visually distracting.
Only down side of a large log, is if the fish spawn on it, and they are egg eaters, its impossible to remove for artificial hatching.

And if the tank is shallow enough, I put pots of papyrus behind the logs, papyrus can't be totally submerged. Papyrus also has the added benefit of using nitrate.

Its worthy of a separate thread, I haven't visited the DIY section yet but I imagine it wouldnt be out of place there

I put that thing together several months. I posted it in DIY section back when I first put it in the tank.
