what are some nice dwarfs?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Or maybe some awesome looking swordtails ... ;)

see i like tiger barbs to but they can be nippy and i might end up geting long fin rams or krips have longer fins so i rather not have fish known to ve nippy. sword tails could work but i like the fast swimming of the giants. maybe ill add a pair od swords or other fish.

IMHO I doubt tiger barbs will match up to the aggression of even the mildest of cichlids ...

I dunno... i had a pair of Apistogrammas sp. that were harassed and killed by two Flying Fox "algae eaters" Tiger Barbs could pick on the dwarfs...

daym! that sucks. I guess its a case to case basis. Perhaps I got lucky...

or you could go with like 3 pairs like rainbow cichlids, sajica, firemouth, cutteri, thayeri, curviceps, geophagus pelegrini, even some kribs any combination, i have a 55 with a pair of rainbows, cutteri, and even a pair of pink cons but they are pretty mild, i had then in a 29 until they were about 3" and started getting cramped

I like the danios myself use them for dithers also but the barbs as long as there in a school of seven or more will be fine they chase each other around any less and they get nippy towards rhe other fish
