what are some of the polys as big as a arm?

P. bichir bichir is the rarest species of poly in the hobby.
For a large bichir, there are pics of a 26 inch endli in the photo lounge.

just to expand on this, this is definitely true now outside japan. But surprisingly just less than 2 yrs ago, this is not true, since the rarest species of poly in the hobby worldwide at the time were ansorgii and teugelsi.

keep in mind that P. bichir bichir were actually available in japan since late 2002, 2003, few years before ansorgii and teugelsi debuted in the hobby. Just that the rest of the world still haven't been able to get them yet.

So now the table's turned, the overall rarest is P. bichir bichir, as i'm not aware of any verifiable specimens outside japan. In japan, however, i'm not sure how the three stack up since bichir bichir are now being bred there.
 
Very nice I see why their so rare. The bottom pic was a young one was it not?

Also can someone tell me were I can get a Congo bichir? Please I always wanted a huge @$$ bichir and I figured since this is the biggest...

Bro, here in TW we have few pcs of PBB, and probably few pcs to China. Here we have ansorgii with higher price than PBB. :headbang2

Oh, btw, my congicus is 2ft and arm size, and my ornate is closing to the mark, but, I think it won't be as thick as arm size.
