IMO, Fishlore is a great site to give back to the hobby. The majority of the members seem to be beginners.
Most topics revolve around Bettas, Gouramis, Neon Tetras, ect.
Fishlore provides an opportunity for experienced Fishkeepers to provide newbies valuable, first hand, information. Fishlore is also a very active forum.
The Aquarium Advice forum is the perfect example of a once great forum on a slow decline to extinction. AA, was the first fish forum I joined & I'm still a member. There are a few die hard knowledgable members left, but the activity level is extremely
slow.
In my view, MFK's is the "Big Boy" forum. Many members are undisputed world class fishkeepers. A far more advanced forum than FL & AA.
Just my two cents.

I'm on a number of forums. MFK is still one of the most active. Cichlid-forum has slowed way down. Shelldwellers is crickets chirping. Planetcatfish still puts out great info. WAFishbox because it is local and I actually know members.
Love my local site wafishbox.com because it is folks from all over WA state. Ive met a ton of awesome people in person like fishguy1978 fishguy1978 and have traded, bought and given stuff to fellow members. Since its all local it really is a great way to communicate with each other when someone is looking for a specific fish and you saw it at a local fish store and you drop them a text to let them know. Sometimes members will get group buys together to split shipping too.

Sadly I have seen a lot of sites close down over the years, ones dedicated to specific fish like oscars, chichlids or others. Glad MFK is still around!

Mean while at fish lore :'Oh you got a 12" cichlid in a 75g? You need a 150g you animal abuser! I give my single betta a 20g!'

Hello, all. Other than Monsterfishkeepers what are some other fish forums you like or are members of? This could also be a forum that is made specifically for Cichlid, Saltwater tanks, Betta fish, etc. I may have a poll up with a few listed sites but those aren't the only ones you can use, you can talk about any site you want.

Reef2reef is one my favorites, I like aquariacentral too, it’s not very active but there’s some good people on there. MFK is the best I’ve seen though

"Local" websites are a great place to meet people that are like minded and get great deals on "stuff", if you are lucky to have one.
