WARNING: gory details to follow, read at your own risk!
My snake head grabbed the oscar's face and rammed the poor fish into the glass and the gravel and the hood until the poor fish was torn in half. I stood there shocked while water and blood splashed all over my floor. My girlfriend started screaming and ran out of the house (we got married). After that point, we were all scared of the snakehead.
But like I said, get anyfish you'd like for a tank mate and keep the camera rolling if your are into that type of thing.
then they're really not tank mates then, more like cannon fodder.

And at the end of the day the only place for an Alligator Gar is a pond. They are a top fish! There is a story going round where an owner had a cat that used to sit on the lid of his owners snakehead tank because of the warmth from the lights. One day while servicing the tank the owner walked out to hear a huge commotion. The alleged story goes the cat jumped up thinking there was a lid the snakehead took his chance wiped the cat out. How true. Well I have heard this story for 2 different people in the same area so could be. Its a top story if it is.
thats an insane instory. I wonder how if its true.. It would be crazy if it was true, cruel but crazy. And i wouldn't put it past a full grown red to do that
