Is this what you do when you are prepping your fish for competitions?

This hybrid section is as entertaining as ever. :grinno:

The so called specialty flowerhorn foods are nothing more than overpriced generic cichlid food.

Everything about competitions is all enhancement and how you prep your fish. Those "hormones" food does make a difference when your prepping for a show/competitions. There's a big difference between having high nutrients food and needing food to jump your flowerhorn to it's extreme that those high nutrition food didn't bring out. Maybe you should ship your fish down to SoCal for the competition the next time it is hosted. You'll see what I mean...

Really, how fascinating. So you are saying that Ching Mix, Sumo, and XO, all contain synthetic hormones? I would certainly love to see proof of that, beyond just someones vivid imagination.

broke fools stay jealous!!!!!!

I'd say look on the ingredients list...im mean if you could afford it

LMAO, you most certainly are tripping if you think that what I feed is bottom of the line. :grinno:

BTW - none of those foods list "hormones" of any type on their labels. I'm not saying that some foreign based manufacturers may not be above doing that, I was simply asking if the big one had any actual proof of any of those manufacturers previously mentioned adding synthetic hormones to their food. I would hate to see a company defamed on a public forum due to nothing more than chat & rumors.

LOL Bottom of the line? The goods for your fish only? You are so mistaken. Next time, look at the ingredients used instead of believing what everyone tells you. Keep buying all those "Specialty FH Food" crap. You're just wasting your own money.

Now now, I wouldn't go so far as to refer to any of the foods mentioned as "crap", but IMO they (FH specialty foods) are certainly overpriced as they are targeting a market where many hobbyists tend to lose most of their common sense, if they had any to begin with. :)

Good for those manufacturing & marketing the product, but not so good for the consumer.

Caveat emptor
