If it looked like a midas and had some hints of orange on it and it was maybe 1-2 inches then it probably was. They go through so many color changes until they reach adulthood. I have seen some that even at 4 inches were barred, but then turned orange almost overnight. It could be a barred midas or just a regular midas/rd. I doubt its a flowerhorn unless it has the flowerline.

yeah, there was some orange on some of the fins. i thought at first it was red (like the "trimacs" had), but i'm pretty sure it was orange. it was a little smaller than most of the "midas" that were in there.
