What are the cichlids meaner than these ones?

WOW, what is the point? I just read the entire thing, and I feel 10 times dumber for doing so. With that said. On your list, (this is based off of my experience) Istlanum shouldnt be there, only get real nasty when spawning. Aarow cichlid is not that aggressive (i would put these amphs ahead of it: Chancho, Hoga, Xilo, Midas) Same goes for Sagittae. Jags IMO are not as aggressive as a Grammode or Beani. I had a 12" Xilo put a whoopin on a 15" Jag, and it was the Jags tank.
So add Grammode to your list along with Midas. Even Godmanni, microthalmus are mean little s****, same with the Tuba. Pound to pound as you say, Salvini. Nicaraguenses, Seiboldi. Also you have Breidohri, Bifasciatus, Zonatus, and Fenestratus can be very nasty and large. Also Argentea, BB. And one of the meanest fish I had to deal with lately, was a freakin Carpinti Vontehillo. That thing killed an Umbee, Devil, Salvini, and Istlanumall of equal or larger size. So I stuck hiom in with my Dovii pair as a play toy. He survived for 6 months until I got rid of it. Then it immediately tore into the guys Oscar 3x its size.
Moral of the story is, just because this is my list doesnt mean its the same as someone else. So when we give our experience and opinion, except it, dont bash it. Because listening to how you speak and how you address the topics, I would say that you are very new to the hobby compared to a lot of us that are commenting. I would venture to say that I have been doing this longer than you are old. So dont flex when you dont agree, learn how to discuss.
Lastly, why do you care about the meanest (which is a prime example of age) fish out there? Do you plan on having a ginormous tank and watch the war begin? Or are you doing a paper for school? Just curious...

Accept the fact that grammodes and midas could be there as I've early said someone else too. I added istlanum and saggitae because one guy said Jeff Rapp had suggested red istlanum and saggitae for a meanest cichlid tank along with doviis and others in the list. May be they are not aggressive than others in the list but I guess they are generally belongs to meanest ones. Lets see what experts say. Thanks for sharing your experience about them. I found about arrows by google and i added it to list entirely based on what others have said on their experience. There was no much information on wiki or other informative sites about arrows as they are rare. If you have or had them post some pictures for us to see. There are not much of photos of them in internet. Thanks for your other suggestions.
I'm not really interested in pound to pound stuff. I just added convicts because many guys tend to continue pointing them out again and again if they are cut off from a meanest cichlid list.
I didn't bash at anyone if they didn't start it. If you can see a single place that I'm starting harsh talk before they start at me send me a pm. If' there was some point like that i'm really sorry. But I remember i didn't start it.
Because I'm interested in meanest cichlids - that's why I care about the meanest.

I think is what hes saying. Id also like to add that vieja regani is one of the nastiest fish ive owned to date. Hericthys pearsei can also hold their own even though they arent evil like most of these fish mentioned. Also male pearsei fights are a great thing to watch. Paratilapia males fighting are a crazy thing even though they are a mostly passive fish. Theyll just rip each others jaws off.These threads are always post generators even though it's been overkilled.

Second in need of Anger Management are Midevils (I've found Red Devils to use Fight or Flight decisions often, though they do tend to kill for nothing as well)

You know that cichlids are not mean right? They are very territorial, aggressive and very defensive of their fry. They are not mean. Mean implies a complex nature of intentional action to harm the other fish for sport or pleasure. Fish are not mean, they do not have the cognitive capabilities to perform such complex actions. Many cichlids are incredibly smart, some even recognize individual people, that being said, I do not believe cichlids to be capable of emotions. I would argue that the only animals capable of emotion are higher order mammals.
Just my thoughts again.
prashan, I like that you ask questions. I like that you defend yourself on here. I'm not gonna lie, this forum can get rough and rowdy with opinions and name calling, but it is also second to none with the quality of advice that comes from these keepers. If I were to give you advice (which I am) I would tell you to accept opinions of others and to not get caught up in the name calling and slandering that some of the other members engage in. To everyone else, it makes you look like a fool and people are less likely to take your advice when you have some to contribute. Keep up the posts and stick around the forum, eventually you will be a member that a young member will look to for advice.
A better way to go is to ask...I have such and such setup...I want a setup that I can see aggressive behavior displayed, what's the setup choices...
You'll get better and more meaningful answers than who is the meanest...because if you plan to do a tank like you were asking, you are just pouring money down the drain.

Wow Chris...you just civilized me.
But speaking of mean, today my babymama just called and told me some kid (high school) made this styrofoam ball with lots of toothpicks on it as weapon. He hit my daughter in the face with it and she's got cuts (never been so glad she wears glasses) and a laceration by her eyelashes. WTF, I was about to go ape and the world almost turned RED, but I had to come to my senses that this in another child. Apparently her classmates (this happened in class) said it didn't look like he was specifically targetting anyone, I dont care be charges will be pressed for medical bills.
That's mean, and even worst than mean. Dude, I just don't wanna stoop to that level otherwise I could be locked up.
