AGREED, I have seen Cons Breed with Dempseys and Firemouths on this website though.

Go with a group of small jewel cichlids, get about 5 from a LFs at the same size. Let them grow and then eventually if u have mixed sexes u will get a pair. Sell back the other fish, except maybe a backup female, and get the breeding going full force. PLUS Jewel cichlids look awesome when they breed. or are mad.
all my stupid fishes do is eat..lol

Correct, they are JD and Jewel, they were fighting for a good 10 minutes so i took some pics.

WHY DID NOT ONE PERSON LIST THIS CICHLID, as EASY TO BREED?

Get a male and female Kribensis. They breed easily and are great parents! You can sex males and females pretty easily too, females have more red/purplish colors on the sides.

yea i honestly dont like thoses cichlids,i really haven figured out why

are firemouth easy to breed like in six months period

Shouldnt be a problem, just get a little fleet going until you see a pair form.

ohh yea i didnt try that because i only bought to llittle ones, you know the ones they sale at petsmart and i put them in a 20 gallon long tank, i would have added more but many people told me not to.so yea

reason they are in a 20 g long is because they are babies still and i wouldnt want my oscy(oscar) to eat them:grinno:

i have also tried to get ppl on this website to donate me some of their frys that they want to give away but most ppl or located far away from socal,SAN DIEGO.

:( So no luck on breeding cichlids yet, been in the hobby for a couple of years now and no luck yet, kinda sucks!!!!

i have two jack dempseys in my 50-55 g tank one is bigger than the other one and the bigg one chases the little one to the top so it stays to the top ,the problem is i cant tell if its a male or female they both look the same to me,i have had both of them for about an year now and one of them shows bluesh, turquiose color while the other still has its faded gray and black color with some blue freckles on his/or her cheeks..

i just want to breed some cichlids as long as they are not convicts, you mght be wondering why its because i notice mostly everyone has bred convicts but i want breed convicts when i have bred other cichlidsbefore.

sorry if im not making any sense.
